The Intelligent Vehicle R&D Center invited Prof. Satoshi Tadokoro from the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS), Tohoku University, Japan, to visit Ming Chi University of Technology from June 17 to 20, 2025.
Prof. Tadokoro is a globally renowned expert in disaster response robotics and has been recognized as a Fellow of several prestigious international organizations, including IEEE, JSME, SICE, and the Robotics Society of Japan (RSJ). He has made significant contributions to rescue robotics, disaster information systems, and emergency response technologies.
During his visit, Prof. Tadokoro delivered a featured lecture on Rescue Robotics and toured the Intelligent Vehicle R&D Center, where he engaged in in-depth technical discussions with the engineering team.
Building on the strong foundation of mutual trust established through this exchange, both parties have agreed to further strengthen collaboration. The Center is scheduled to visit Tohoku University in early November to explore future partnership opportunities and cooperation models.
